Mommy Ybeth's Views and Thoughts...: July 2009

Eversince I started working here in Singapore, technology played a big part for me to fulfill my job as a far-away Mommy to Baby Zy. I always make it a point to call him twice a day and chat over webcam every night. Thank God for these high-tech devices, creating precious mother and son memories become as easy as 1-2-3. From cheesy sweet moments to funny innocent bloopers, sharing to you some recent mother and son bonding we had:

Baby Zy: mommy i have to go now, i feel tired
Mommy Ybeth: wait, mommy still wants to talk to you...

Baby Zy: why mommy? you don't have other chatmates?
Mommy Ybeth: (grin)

Baby Zy: look closely on the webcam mommy, i have a suprise for you...
Mommy Ybeth: show it to me now, i wanna see

Baby Zy: Suprise! (then showing a heart shape drawing with i love you note on it)

Mommy Ybeth: (so touch and speechless)

Baby Zy: another suprise mommy ok? this time really suprising!

Mommy Ybeth: sure, what is it? (expecting another sweet gesture)

Baby Zy: abrakadabra!!! (showing his kiddie bike broken). i need a new bike mommy.

Mommy Ybeth: oh yeah.. mommy's really suprise mahal... oh well...

Baby Zy: i have a new song and dance for you mommy, old one - mama lola taught me
Mommy Ybeth: sing it to me now...
Baby Zy: how sweet it is to be loved by you, thank you mommy.. how sweet it is to be loved by you, thank you mommy.. (suppose to be "thank you baby", he change it to mommy)
Mommy Ybeth: (with full cheering and clapping) that was so good mahal... and yes, mommy loves you very much!

Talking on phone:

Mommy Ybeth: hi mahal (tagalog word for love), you got all mommy's sms?
Baby Zy: yes but i'm not so happy.
Mommy Ybeth: why??????

Baby Zy: because you are just resending same message. type and make new one mommy!

Mommy Ybeth: (guilty-mode as i only keep on resending stored sms of "i love you my son")

Mommy Ybeth: do you know why mommy loves you very much?
Baby Zy: yes mommy. because i'm the only one who will take care of you when you get old.
Mommy Ybeth: lol!

Baby Zy: mommy, we can only talk untill 11pm ok?
Mommy Ybeth: why? you are sleepy already?
Baby Zy: no, not sleepy at all. becaue 11pm my new girlfriend will call me
Mommy Ybeth: (shock and panicking) i wanna talk to mama now! waaaaaaaaa!

But when we are physically together, there's alot of activities we both enjoy - like toys shopping, swimming, arcade playing and partying. But even those simple joys of putting him to sleep and giving him a bath gives me the utmost satisfaction of being a mother. I love you very much Zy. Hope you know how much of me belongs to you. You complete me.

Will end this blog by a song I dedicate for my one and ony son. Zy, every word of this song relates to how I feel for you. I unconditionally loved you even before you came out to this world. I love you the moment I saw your tiny peanut-like body inside my womb. You are a dream come true for me.

Went Lucky Plaza earlier to remit money for my family. Took advantage of the fact that I'm there and bought lots of our local junkfoods plus my ever useful Likas Papaya Soap. Hehe....

Bought 3 pieces each of Vcut Potato, Chizcurls, Clover Chips and Red Chippy. Now I'm so excited to indulge on all of this while doing movie marathon tonight (with clod coke infront of Rush Hour 1, 2 and 3 - perfect right?). I had always been a fan of local junkfoods, it's my all-time favorite comfort food. For me, red chippy is simply the best tasting chip ever created. Ask everyone on my old office how to make my morning weekday right and they will tell you to buy me a red chippy at 7-11 downstairs.

Now, my love for junkfood diminish a little. In Manila, it's all within reach while here it's not available everywhere. And Lucky Plaza is too far from Tampines where I'm staying - so pringles and nachos are not bad options if I'm craving bigtime!
